Surface Grinding: Precision for Flat Surfaces

EuroProMec Srl specializes in surface grinding, performed in-house to ensure the highest quality and precision. This machining technique uses a grinding machine, a machine that uses a grinding wheel, an extremely hard, fine-grained tool.

    How Grinding Works

Grinding is the final operation in the machining process of a component. This is followed by roughing, which removes most of the excess material. Unlike roughing, grinding is a finishing operation that eliminates any remaining residue, bringing the surface of the part to the desired dimensions and finish. The use of a fine-grained grinding wheel allows for extremely high surface quality and very tight dimensional tolerances.

    Surface Grinding Specifications

In surface grinding, the grinding spindle is positioned parallel to the flat surface of the part. In this way, it is the lateral surface of the grinding wheel that comes into contact with the workpiece, ensuring a uniform and precise finishing action on flat surfaces.
